House of Naismith

I’m really delighted to have been awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice* award for a period of research and development, mentoring and production. 

I’m tempted to layout the creative processes and references I will draw upon over the next 6 months but have decided that in order to feel fully free to follow the work where it takes me, and as an antidote to my usual practice of sharing work in progress I’m going to follow the advice of Michaela Coel when accepting her Emmy in September 2021 for I will destroy you: “Visibility these days seems to somehow equate to success. Do not be afraid to disappear from it, from us for a while, and see what comes to you in the silence”. 

I’m aware other aspects of my work will become highlight visible in the coming months with the publication of the Practising Well Conversations and Support Menu report so for now and on my studio days i’ll take the silence and the solitude and see where it takes me.
