Talks & Teaching

Colourful abstract design

I have given talks about my creative and research practices to a wide range of specialist and non-specialist audiences, including the ICA (London), New Hall - Murray Edwards College (Cambridge), Arts and Health South West Winter Gathering (Online), Luminate (Scotland), Firstsite (Colchester) and Norwich Arts Centre. I have delivered conference presentations (Culture, Health and Wellbeing International Conference, Challenging Craft, The Space Between) and chaired and contributed to panel discussions (A Culture of Care: Culture Health and Wellbeing Alliance National Conference). If you think my art practice or research work could benefit your artist group, organisation or teaching institution please get in touch

As a Lecturer on the MA Art and Social Practice at the University of the Highlands and Islands I work online with full- and part-time students based in Scotland, the UK and internationally. I lead two modules: ‘Reflective and ethical practitioner’ and ‘Professional practice’ which are informed by my ongoing research and professional development activities. I also work with students on a tutorial basis and assess work across the programme, all of which is underpinned by my extensive background in working with students at Foundation and Undergraduate levels. If you are interested in inviting me to work with your students on a visiting lecturer basis please send me an email in the first instance.
